146 km on your Mountain Bike. Starting and finishing point: El Berro.
4,300 m ascent: one route, 4 sections:

First section to stretch your legs. From El Berro to Gebas, going through Sierra Espuña, La Muela and Los Barrancos de Gebas, in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia. 25 km; 500 m ascent.

First section

The second section goes from Gebas to Casas Nuevas through the municipalities of Alhama, Mula and Pliego, and the water infrastructure of the Tajo-Segura River Diversion from Alhama to Pliego, the Caño del Barbol, the springs of Umbría de Sierra Espuña and the ones of Mancomunidad de Canales del Taibilla. A 32 km itinerary with a cumulative ascent of 543 m to continue stretching your legs and get ready for the two last big stages.

Second section

The third section of the route goes from Casas Nuevas to Las Alquerías through some emblematic areas of the Park, such as Malvariche, Pedro López slope, La Carrasca House and Spring and Purgatorio houses. This is a more difficult itinerary, with a route of 36 km and a cumulative ascent of 2,000 m. Clearly the queen stage.

Third section

The fourth and final section goes back to the community of El Berro –which belongs to the municipality of Alhama–, through some pathways and tracks such as Algarrobo, Campix, Paredes del Leyva –Cejo de Valdecanales– and Barranco de la Hoz. It goes past Fuente del Hilo, La Perdiz, Senda de los Dinosaurios suspension bridge, Fuente Blanca and Prado Mayor; then it descends towards El Berro in parallel to the impressive Barranco de la Hoz ravine –already passed by at Umbría de Sierra Espuña in section 2 heading to Casas Nuevas– and continues the descent along the road to Fuente Dueñas. Also a very demanding section, with 53 km, that is to say, more kilometres than any of the other stages; still, it has a cumulative ascent under 1,300 m.

Fourth section
